The arm is made of magnesium alloy. As is known, the most desirable audiophile option of GRAY 108 is made of magnesium.
All mounting dimensions are equivalent to the original. Arm painted with gray WRINKLE dye.
The geometrical dimensions of the arm, arm base, set screw are also 100% equivalent to the original and all made from highest quality materials.
The needle and the screw are made from 1045 steel.
The tonearm is fully equipped with everything being needed to install on the turntable as you can see it on the photos.

A vinyl record clamp constructed of aluminum The non ferrous metal aluminum was chosen so that the magnetic fields of moving magnet and moving coil cartridges are not disturbed.
The collet and nut are also non ferrous metals, made of bronze. The washer is caprolon creating a smooth clamping effect. The total product weight is 80 grams (2.8 ounces).
This clamps is backed by Lifetime Warranty.
The purpose of a record clamp is to several. Primarily, to assist in flattening records, those which may be warped. Another purpose is to make the vinyl record one with the platter which helps to reduce resonance from being introduced to the cartridge stylus which is ultimately heard as distortion or rumble. Small, micro movements of the LP are also prevented by use of a record clamp.

Serge has been my “go to” guy for virtually anything I need fabricated for my vintage audio system. He has provided me with an arm support and slide for my Gray Research tonearm, and also graduated tracking weights. He has made parts for a friend also. I had one of his unipivot tonearms that I sent to my friend in Florida to audition, and I never got it back from him. When my friend set up Serge’s unipivot arm on his Rek-O-Kut turntable, he fell in love with the arm, sold his other tonearm, and purchased the arm from Serge. Now I eagerly wait for Serge to make me an arm. He is the best!
